The Village of Luou
THE VILLAGE OF “LUOU” in the parish of Santa Cruz do Lima takes its name, according to Ptolemy, from the Leuni (one of the many Celtic tribes making up the Capori, who depended on the Amaci). The landscape is characterized by vineyards of the Loureiro grape variety (which is used to make white vinho verde) surrounded by ancient oaks and chestnut trees. In this quiet spot in the upper valley of the River Lima, the Minho folk are awaiting your visit.
