The EIDO DO LUOU was once an agricultural property with a farmhouse, dating from the 19th century. For years, it remained in the same family – country folk from the county of Ponte de Lima. Then in 2002, by now completely abandoned, it was taken over by a couple who tried to give it a new lease of life. The property was totally renovated, with the construction of a T1-type house, which attempted to maintain the characteristics and materials of the original as much as possible.
As the new owners also wanted to make better use of the surrounding land (which occupied an area of 1,500 m2), they invested in various projects over the following 9 years, looking for solutions that would not spoil what was already there, but which could also provide a pleasant space for friends, relatives and guests.
Thus, the EIDO DO LUOU was gradually transformed into what it is today a Local Accommodation.
The owners go out of their way to make all visitors feel welcome, offering a range of amenities and services that are unique in this kind of accommodation.
